RED FLOWER: The Young Rooster and the Sun

Actions or consequences… What make us grow up into the ones we become? Kéli is a reckless teenager who dreams of only one thing: undergoing the Katafali ritual to become a man in the eyes of his tribe. However, the young boy struggles to fully embrace the peaceful philosophy of his people, as well as the wise advice of his elders... It's then that Anansi, the sorcerer, has a vision of apocalypse: the village will be invaded by foreigners endowed with a mysterious and deadly power! The clan members now face a dilemma: how to defend themselves against this enemy when their beliefs dictate non-violence? Does Kéli have the opportunity to prove his worth here? A boldly modern intersection of manga and ancient tales of African griots, RedFlower is an action-packed adventure Shonen that will take you on the explosive encounter of two opposing cultures, one filled with animism and spirituality, the other believing that the ends justify the means.

With the same underlying question: is it the actions or their consequences that make us adults? Written and drawn by Loui, who adapted stories his grandmother would tell him from her home country of Ghana into a fantastic manga style series! This is where it all begins…
