Review Policy
The short version
- We don't host any reviews ourselves — every rating and review you see comes from an independent platform we can't edit or filter.
- Shop reviews (about Tsundoku Club as a whole) are collected on Trustpilot and governed by Trustpilot's own guidelines and moderation.
- We never write, buy, or fabricate reviews on any platform.
Shop reviews — Trustpilot
Reviews of your overall experience with Tsundoku Club — packaging, dispatch, customer service, the picks we curate — are collected on Trustpilot. Trustpilot is an independent review platform (Trustpilot A/S, Denmark) that operates as its own data controller. When you leave us a Trustpilot review, you submit it directly to Trustpilot under Trustpilot's User Terms and Privacy Terms. Their moderation, fake-review detection, owner-response and removal rules apply — not ours. We can reply to, report or flag reviews on Trustpilot, but we cannot edit, hide or remove them ourselves, and our TrustScore is calculated by Trustpilot's own algorithm.
After your order is delivered we may email you a single invitation to review the shop on Trustpilot. That's a post-purchase service email sent under our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing hello@tsundokuclub.co.uk. We do not currently push your order details to Trustpilot automatically; if we ever introduce automated Trustpilot review invitations we'll update this policy first.
To edit or remove a Trustpilot review, use your Trustpilot account or contact Trustpilot support directly — we don't have the ability to delete Trustpilot content on your behalf.
Incentives
We do not pay for reviews and we do not give discounts or freebies in exchange for a positive review — on Trustpilot or anywhere else. If we ever run a promotion that encourages reviews (for example a prize draw open to all reviewers), we'll say so clearly and the prize will never be conditional on a positive rating.
UK law — Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024
The DMCC Act treats fake and misleading consumer reviews as a banned commercial practice in the UK. Our approach — hosting no reviews ourselves and displaying only independent platforms' data we cannot edit, weight, or suppress — is designed so that no rating you see on this site can be manipulated by us. We never write, commission, buy, or publish reviews that misrepresent who wrote them, and any incentivised review would be clearly disclosed as such on the platform that hosts it.
