About Tsundoku Club

Tsundoku Club is a UK-based independent shop for manga lovers and collectors, run from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. We sell new and pre-loved manga, graphic novels, and related books — new titles supplied through our UK distributor, and pre-loved volumes checked and graded by hand.

What does 'tsundoku' mean?

The name comes from 積ん読 (tsundoku) — a beautiful Japanese word for buying books faster than you can read them, letting them pile up with the best of intentions. It's not a vice. It's a lifestyle. And we're here for it.

Why manga?

Manga is one of the most exciting forms of storytelling in the world. It spans every genre — action, romance, horror, slice of life, sci-fi — and the physical volumes are beautiful objects in their own right. Whether you're building a shelf of Berserk or discovering Chainsaw Man for the first time, we believe every reader deserves to hold a clean, well-kept copy.

What makes us different?

Honesty, mostly. Every pre-loved (kosho) book that passes through our hands is individually inspected, honestly graded, and photographed. When we say 'Like New,' we mean it. When we say 'Very Good,' we'll tell you exactly why it's not Like New. Kosho volumes are sleeved in a clear protective bag, wrapped in a book wrap, and posted by us from Doncaster.

Most new titles are dispatched direct from our UK distributor's warehouse — it gets the book to you faster and keeps postage down. Either way your order is with Tsundoku Club, travels by tracked UK delivery, and is covered by our Mint Guarantee: if a book doesn't arrive shelf-ready, we replace or refund it.
