Good Morning, Good Night, and See You Tomorrow. Vol. 1

Based on the author’s own experience with cancer, this is a deeply human manga about caring for oneself, understanding others, and continuing forward—one day at a time. A gentle story for anyone learning how to keep going. Being diagnosed with cancer doesn’t come with instructions.

For Akiyama Momiji, single and living alone, it marks a break from the life she was living and the beginning of a period shaped by illness and uncertainty. Told with warmth, honesty, and a gentle touch, this fictional manga based on the author’s experiences portrays the experience of living with cancer with a careful balance—acknowledging its weight while offering moments of lightness, reflection, and quiet reassurance. Through Momiji’s experiences, the story speaks not only to those facing illness, but also to anyone unsure how to support the people they care about.
